VISION

For the last few years, Visioning has been integrated in many of KAIL training and facilitation. Everything starts with vision.

Vision made Lili, one of KAIL's youth program, committed to devote her life for drug users and youth with HIV. She herself was formerly a drug users and had experienced dark life of drug dependence. Now, Lili organized drug users and youth with HIV in Bandung, so they could be aware of the danger of drugs and be their friend so they could stop using drugs.

Vision made Puti, a mechanical engineering graduate, changed her life and be a teacher for poor people in slum area in Bandung.

Vision also made young women in Aceh gain back her life which had been disappeared by tsunami, armed conflict or domestic violence.

Bridging Leadership Program in Aceh

Since June 2008, Intan Darmawati, KAIL coordinator, has involved as a Training Designer for Bridging Leadership Program (BLP) in Aceh managed by Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (YPB). Bridging Leadership Program is a three years post tsunami project supported by LEAD International.

This project is focused on training young local leaders from three district in Aceh: Pidie, Aceh Besar and Aceh Jaya so they have the capacity for sustainable development in their area.

The training consist of four modules as follows:
1. Leadership for Sustainable Development
2. Exploring Technology and Policy Options for Sustainable
3. Activity Planning
4. Public Presentation

Every year, 10-15 best participants will get a change to join internship program at experienced institution in sustainable development according to their interest. So far, 25 participants had joined BLP internship and overall there are 52 participants has graduated from BLP.
